His death represents the repression and suffering of thousands of farmers around the world. More than 10,000 poor children and people die everyday due to starvation, pesticide poisoning and corrupt forced trade policies. > > Small-scale farmers, fishermen, labors unions, poor people, people living with HIV/AIDS, and students rallied in the streets of Bangkok to protest against the WTO. We presented the EU and US embassies our position statement on AOA and the WTO. Please see the attachments. > > In particular, WE EXTEND OUR SOLIDARITY TO THE KOREAN FEDERATION OF FARMERS AND FISHERMEN AND TO THE ENTIRE KOREAN DELEGATION CAMPING OUT. WE SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE OUR RIGHT TO FREEDOM OF SPEECH, OUR RIGHT PROTEST AGAINST INEQUALITY AND OUR RIGHT TO CALL FOR AOA TO BE REMOVED FROM WTO AND FOR THE END OF WTO NECOGITATIONS. > > We condemn the threat of deportation and the cruelty of the police and Mexican government. > > We are a network of small-scale farmers, fishermen, labors unions, poor people, people living with HIV/AIDS, and students. We also have 6 delegates in Cancun representing the voiceless people in Thailand. They are giving a voice to poor and sharing the global solidarity in the struggle for justice and fair trade. > > > > > > > We are taking a stand and saying NO TO THE WTO and AOA! > > > > In Solidarity, > > > > Assembly Of the Poor and Anti-Globalization Movement in Thailand > > > >
